COMMITTEE ON TRANSFER AND ARTICULATION

COTA is the CBHE's Committee on Transfer and Articulation. COTA's primary responsibilities are to review and make recommendations on transfer issues, study and develop transfer guidelines for traditional and non-traditional credits, and review and recommend resolutions on cases of appeal from institutions or students.

ARTICULATION OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The Articulation of Early Childhood Education Programs is a set of guidelines, developed by CAOs and adopted by COTA, that identify competencies aligned with agreed-upon standards and titles to use for each academic program within the early childhood profession.


CREDIT TRANSFER
The General Education and Credit Transfer Policy outlines the makeup and duties of COTA. COTA developed, and Missouri public and independent signatories implemented, this policy is order to ensure that high school and college students complete their chosen degree programs in the shortest time possible when a student moves from one institution to another. The policy also describes the appeal process that may be initiated by the student or the institution.

DUAL CREDIT
The Dual Credit Policy establishes guidelines for courses offered in high school that count for both high school and college credit simultaneously. These policies outline student eligibility, program structure and administration, faculty qualifications, assessment, and transferability of college-level course credit earned by high-performing high school students.
