Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Coordinating Board for Higher Education - Higher Education Funding Policies Task Force will conduct a meeting on February 7, 2008 in Theory 6 at ITT Technical Institute. The address is 3640 Corporate Trail Drive, Earth City, MO 63045. The meeting will be held immediately upon adjournment of the CBHE meeting.
The purposes of this meeting is: To continue discussions that focus on “special initiatives,” performance, and adequacy components of the new funding policies.
The tentative agenda of this meeting includes:
- Discussion of Strategic Initiatives
HEF-T met on January 24, 2008 to further develop draft funding strategies for each strategic area discussed by the Task Force at its last meeting. What additional comments do Task Force members have?
- Performance Incentive Funding
HEF-T also developed performance incentive background materials and a proposal for performance incentive funding, which will be discussed by the Task Force.
- Discussion of “Adequacy” Issues
The Task Force discussed a three-prong approach: strategic initiatives, performance funding. The core is the first priority, strategic initiatives the second priority, and performance funding the third. COFHE and MCCA were working on proposals to address adequacy – what is the status of these proposals?
- Schedule of Activities/Topics for Discussion
February 2008: Follow-through from Strategic Initiatives and Performance Incentive Funding and Discussion of Adequacy Investments
March: Review of Overall Strategy with all three components
April: Recommendations proposed by Task Force to institutions
June: Presentation to CBHE
