10:15 Creating a draft document

Many of the CAOs (particularly 4-year) would like to see our draft document.

Who is the audience? Where will the draft document be sent?
What do we want to write? What do we want to accomplish?
How do we tie in to prior statewide general education work and the history of assessment in Missouri?
How do we tie in to prior MAC position papers?

Define some best practices and philosophies.
Begin to define some acceptable comparabilities.
Address improvement and accountability needs.

How do we facilitate continuous improvement?
How do you benchmark?
How do you do comparisons?
What are the key policy issues that seem to be ongoing?
What accountability issues does the state have?

The CBHE Performance Indicators will incorporate measures reflected in the draft document

The draft will be distributed to the MAC listserv for comment. Depending upon response, we will meet again for further revision, convene a subgroup for refinement, or pass the draft to Jeremy for wider distribution.
