MODEL Direct is the Missouri Department of Higher Education's web-based loan application and loan maintenance system (i.e., change transactions). Features of the system include:

• Realtime data and transactions
• File management features
• Online application certification and processing
• Realtime change transaction posting, individually or en masse
• Custom Reports, allowing reports to be created on demand with customized filter criteria and realtime data
• Standard production reports, which may be retrieved and managed via MODEL Direct

Designed by American Student Assistance (ASA) using the Microsoft Windows operating system, the student loan origination system delivers full functionality via the Internet. The easy-to-use web interface allows MDHE clients to access data and make updates directly to the system database, ensuring up-to-date information and realtime processing of student loan guarantees.
