NSLDS Status Codes

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is a national database comprised of information from guarantors, schools, and other Title IV financial aid participanting organizations. Guarantors, such as the MDHE, are required to provide data to the NSLDS regularly.

NSLDS status codes appear on students' Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR), after the student completes the FAFSA. To help you decipher these codes and determine the effect of each student's eligibility for federal student aid, here is a list of the codes and their meanings.
