Renewing Student Loans

If you completed a FAFSA last year and are returning to the same school, contact your school's financial aid office about their renewal application procedures.

You must renew your FAFSA to renew your student loan!

Most returning students will receive a renewal FAFSA in the mail or via email. If you receive one, correct or complete it as necessary and return it as instructed. If you do not receive a renewal FAFSA by February, you will need to complete a new FAFSA.

QUICK TIP: Use lender(s) using the same servicer for new student loans each year. If you have loans with different servicers, you will need to make separate payments each month once you enter repayment.
