Conference Resources
Thank you for your willingness to join us for the upcoming 2008 Missouri Transfer Conference, which will bring together transfer and articulation practitioners, college and university leadership, faculty, and staff, as well as Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) leadership and staff for a day of engaged discussion and networking. Attendees will focus on the implications on policy and practice of the ongoing statewide Curriculum Alignment Initiative (CAI). The following resources are provided for your information and review prior to the Conference; feel free to bring copies of any and all to the Conference as well.
The Curriculum Alignment Initiative
Background information is available on the statewide Curriculum Alignment Initiative, which will serve as the focus of discussion and work at the Conference. Of particular interest are links to entry-level competencies for core general education coursework developed by each of the CAI workgroups, as well as an open letter to educators and other stakeholders from Dr. Robert Stein, Commissioner of Higher Education.

Coordinating Board for Higher Education (CBHE) Policies and Practices
The CBHE has approved a number of policies and statements of best practices which will be relevant to work at the Conference (see Policies and Guidelines box). Of particular interest here are policies on dual credit and general education and credit transfer.
